At Parma I tore my hair mentally at not being able to see the Correggios. Piacenza pleased us to be in it, on account of the name ; but a list of places in Italy is always like a set of musical tones. Parma, Piacenza, Voghera, Tortona, Felizima, —sounds like these convert a road-book into a music-book.
